How can you make your favorite comedy even more fun? Turn it into a drinking game, just like we did with the hilarious White Chicks drinking game. Come and learn how it’s played.

Comedies are, in general, excellent drinking game foundations. Just think of the terrific Zombieland drinking game or the popular Bring It On drinking game.

These lighthearted movies are full of notorious catchphrases, crazy what-the-hack moments, and silly jokes that sound twice as funny when you’re all a bit tipsy.

With White Chicks, though, it’s probably even better. This hilarious 2004 comedy is ideal for a laid-back movie night with your friends. It’s one of those films you can’t go wrong with if you’re after good laughter. Try it, and you certainly won’t regret it.

What You’ll Need to Play White Chicks Drinking Game?

One of the best things about the movie-inspired drinking games is that they don’t require any extensive preparations. If you want to play the White Chicks drinking game, make sure you have:

  • A copy of the White Chicks movie (you can also find it on streaming platforms or on TV)
  • Alcoholic drinks of your choice (some prefer beer, others wine, spirits, cocktails, etc.)
  • At least one friend to join the challenge
  • It is a comfortable place and a device with a nice large screen and good-quality sound

Why Playing the White Chicks Drinking Game?

There are certainly dozens of great film-based drinking challenges. What makes the White Chicks game special? First of all, let’s take a look at the film itself.

White Chicks is a wild comedy that follows FBI agents Marcus and Kevin Copeland, portrayed by Shawn and Marlon Wayans, as they go undercover as two rich white heiresses to solve a delicate kidnapping case.

Masked by heavy makeup and platine wigs, the agents try to blend with the posh society as the Wilson sisters, naturally leading to uncountable slapstick moments and outrageous jokes.

However, there’s also a large dose of clever satire on race, class differences, identity search, and some other heavily discussed social topics.

Whether you use the film only as a hilarious source of laughter during the game or move on to more profound debates on its themes is up to you. In any case, the film works as a reliable start to friendly interaction, making it perfect for any party.

Now, let’s finally look at how this drinking game is played.

Setup

The White Chicks Drinking game can be set up in a few minutes:

  • Prepare the film
  • Prepare the drinks and place them on some stable and easily reachable surface
  • Allow everyone to find a comfy place with a direct view of the screen

That’s all – just press play and start playing!

How to Play White Chicks Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

How to Play White Chicks Drinking Game Rules and Gameplay

Playing a drinking game based on a movie or a TV show is simple. All you have to do is carefully watch for the designated signs to appear in the form of catchphrases, plot twists, or various situations. When they do, quickly take a sip of your glass.

Whenever you hear some of the following, have a drink:

  • Someone mentions “FBI
  • Someone says: “Wilson Sisters
  • The detectives say: “Would you rather…?
  • Someone says: “Hamptons
  • Someone says: “Yo..!
  • Someone says: “Hold my poodle!

Also, you must grab your glass when you notice that:

  • Someone is hit
  • The Wilson sisters change their costumes
  • There’s a fight/action scene
  • The Vandergeld sisters’ confrontation takes place
  • Kevin and Marcus struggle with some feminine tasks
  • A good song plays

Everyone finishes their drinks when:

  • The famous dance-off scene begins
  • The main characters are exposed

Naturally, these are not the only drinking triggers you can follow in the game. If you’re familiar with the film, feel free to add or replace any of these rules with your own favorites.

You can also divide the characters among the players. Each of you then reacts to a different set of signals, making the game slightly chaotic but also more fun.

Additional Tips

Playing drinking games is an excellent social activity that can help you break the ice with acquaintances and bond with old friends.

Nevertheless, doing it safely and responsibly would be best to avoid excessive consumption associated with an unpleasant hangover and potential health risks.

Here are some tips to make playing a drinking game as safe and healthy as possible:

  • Respect your tolerance level for alcohol. Do not drink more than you can safely handle.
  • If you’re not used to drinking strong spirits, stay with drinks with lower alcohol volume (beer, wine, less concentrated liquors).
  • Prepare some non-alcoholic drinks. You can switch to them whenever you feel like you need to take a break from alcohol.
  • Have a hearty meal before starting the drinking game, and consume some snacks during the game as well. This will help your body cope with the alcohol.
  • Plan your transportation in advance. Ensure everyone has a safe way to get home when the game ends.

To sum it up, just play in such a way that everyone involved has only pleasant memories of the experience and would be happy to play the game again next time.

Who Wins?

Although I prefer to play this game non-competitively, you can easily adapt it to your taste if you want to challenge your friends.

One option is to place bets before the movie starts on how many times certain triggers will appear in the movie. One of the players, however, must be willing to keep a record while watching the film, and at the end, the players will compare their bets.

For each difference, they will receive one penalty point. Whoever has the fewest at the end wins the game. Of course, there are other options. For example, you can play a different drinking game, which is naturally competitive, such as the Tipsy Tower drinking game or the Battle Shots.

Have you ever wondered how people pass their time while they’re waiting out a giant storm? One of the options is the Hurricane drinking game – a straightforward yet wildly amusing way to turn a scary experience into fun.

The Hurricane drinking game is a simple game for a group of friends, relatives – or even complete strangers who got stuck together during a windstorm. You don’t need a lot to play it, making it easy to enjoy the game without any prior preparations.

It probably won’t surprise you that this game was invented in Florida. I learned it from a friend who lived in Naples. She said the game was so popular among the students they almost seemed to be looking forward to the hurricane season.

Despite its original concept, the game is similar to movie drinking games (like the Princess Bride drinking game or others).

The main difference is that you don’t need to watch a movie to play the game because you are kind of a part of a (catastrophic) movie yourself.

What You’ll Need to Play Hurricane Drinking Game?

As mentioned, you don’t need much preparation or materials to enjoy the hurricane-drinking game. Just ensure you have the following:

  • A TV, mobile phone, tablet, or any other device with access to live news.
  • A good amount of alcoholic beverages of your choice (you can use wine, beer, spirits, mixed drinks, etc.)
  • A couple of friends to join you
  • A safe indoor place

Why Playing Games During Hurricane?

Does playing a drinking game when a hurricane rages behind the windows sound crazy to you?

Taking into account what the people in affected areas typically do when they’re locked down due to the storm, the game just takes people’s standard routine during these dreadful moments, transforming it into something rather joyful.

In fact, playing games at this time can have numerous benefits:

  • It’s a good source of distraction and stress relief
  • It helps you pass the time
  • You’re bonding with your friends or relatives
  • It helps to reduce cabin fever when you’re stuck together for a longer period
  • It keeps your mind engaged and alert

In this particular case, the game also helps you stay on track with all the latest developments, which can be crucial if the situation worsens.

But let’s not waste any more time. We’ll start with the initial setup.

Setup

The Hurricane Drinking game can be set up pretty quickly. All you have to do is:

  • Gather your friends or whoever wishes to participate.
  • Bring everyone’s favorite alcoholic drinks.
  • Turn on the news channel or live feed of your preferred media covering the hurricane situation.

Besides preparing for the game, don’t forget to make all the necessary preparations for the storm itself. Let me remind you of some of the basics below:

  • Stay indoors.
  • Stock on food, drinking water, and any essential medication.
  • Shut and secure the doors and windows.
  • Ensure all your pets are safe and taken care of.
  • Sit away from the windows.
  • Turn off propane and any potentially dangerous appliances.
  • Fully charge all your devices (including a few power banks).
  • Communicate with your friends and relatives to ensure someone knows your location.
  • Familiarize yourself with the local evacuation plan and emergency contacts.

When you’re done with the checklists and the storm is already approaching your area, you’re ready to start playing.

How to Play Hurricane Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

How to Play Hurricane Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

In the beginning, I’ve mentioned that the game is very similar to the popular concept of movie drinking games. While playing one of these, people watch a film or a TV show of their choice and look out for specific “signs” (sights, plot twists, situations, phrases, interactions) indicating they should have a drink.

When you’re playing the Hurricane drinking game, the rules are identical, but instead of a movie, you’re watching the live news coverage of the hurricane situation in your area.

Here are the “signs” to look out for:

Have a drink (or a sip of a drink) whenever:

  • A flash of lightning appears (continue drinking until it’s followed by thunder).
  • Someone says “flood“.
  • Someone says “catastrophe“.
  • Someone says “storm.”
  • Someone calls the hurricane by its name (e.g., Irma, Idalia, Andrew).
  • Someone compares the current hurricane to other hurricanes.
  • A newscaster is struggling with the weather during the live report.
  • The hurricane’s category is mentioned.
  • A new area of evacuation is announced.

Have a double drink (or two sips of a drink) whenever:

  • Someone calls or texts to make sure you are okay.
  • You receive a push notification with emergency instructions or a warning.
  • It’s announced that the hurricane set a new record in some regard.
  • The hurricane’s category is changed (in either direction)
  • You spot something flying across the air outside.

Have a full shot/glass in case if:

  • Power shortage occurs.
  • You remember something valuable you forgot to secure properly.
  • The storm passes away.

Of course, there are many ways to customize the game. You can add your preferred catchphrases or something typical for the current storm or your local area.

You can also divide the abovementioned “drinking triggers” among the players so that everyone has to rely on their own eyes and ears.

Alternatively, each of you can focus on some different source of information. It will be interesting to see how differently various media can cover the same situation.

Additional Tips

Playing drinking games always requires some sort of mindfulness and moderation. However, you should be extra cautious and responsible with the Hurricane drinking game.

If the situation becomes more dramatic than anticipated, and you suddenly have to evacuate or assist someone in need, you certainly don’t want to be completely wasted.

Here are a few tips that can help you make the game as enjoyable and safe as possible:

  • Discuss everyone’s tolerance level and pick alcohol you can all agree on – or let each player pick their own drink of choice.
  • Eat well before engaging in the game, and keep some snacks around during the game, too. Your body will be in a much better position to cope with all the alcohol.
  • You don’t have to empty your glass with each trigger. Some of them will appear often, and there’s no point in getting completely drunk before the game even starts to be fun. Just sip and continue playing.
  • If you or some of your friends do not want to drink any more alcohol, pick a non-alcoholic beverage instead and continue enjoying the game.

Who Wins?

The Hurricane Drinking game is usually played just for fun, non-competitively. Given the tense circumstances, everyone who makes it safely through the storm can be considered a winner, right?

Still, there are some ways to adapt this game into a competition. You can, for example, bet on the “signal” phrases or situations you think would occur the most often. Or penalize players when they forget to drink when they’re supposed to. In any case, there are also many other competitive drinking games to try while waiting out a hurricane, including King’s Cup or Ride the Bus.

No party is complete without a good drinking game. How about trying the Scooby-Doo drinking game inspired by one of the most popular animated shows of all time? Here’s the guide that teaches you how it’s played.

Scooby-Doo is not only a popular show; it’s an icon of pop culture that has been around for more than half a century now. This is an excellent choice if you want to play a drinking game based on an absolute classic.

From my experience, this game works wonderfully with all types of people: you can test it at an office party, a birthday party with your friends, or even a family get-together (similar to the Princess Bride drinking game, which I highly recommend trying, too!).

If you have never played any movie drinking games before, don’t worry. Its straightforward rules will be clear to you in a few minutes.

What You’ll Need to Play Scooby-Doo Drinking Game?

You don’t need cards, darts, dice, or any other special game materials to play the Scooby-Doo drinking game. Just ensure you have the following:

  • Your favorite Scooby-Doo film or series on any playable media
  • A large screen to play the show on
  • Alcohol of your choice (spirits, cocktails, beer, wine, etc.)
  • Your friends to join you
  • A nice, comfortable place to throw a party

Why Scooby-Doo?

There are dozens or even hundreds of movie-inspired drinking games out there, each catering to different tastes. In my opinion, though, the genre that works the best with this type of game is comedy.

Although Scooby-Doo may look like an animated detective show for kids at first sight, it’s first and foremost a good comedy praised by fans worldwide for its goofiness and light-hearted humor.

Playing a drinking game while watching any of the films or shows with Scooby-Doo (my favorite is still the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! show from 1969) is a delightful experience.

Also, there’s a good chance that none of your friends will oppose the idea of playing it. Everybody loves Scooby, right?

Now, let’s start with the initial game setup.

Setup

Before you start playing:

  • Prepare the film/TV show you want to watch
  • Let every player find a comfortable spot They all should hear and see clearly
  • Get the drinks ready and place them somewhere where everyone can reach them
  • Press play, and let the game begin!

How to Play Scooby-Doo Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

How to Play Scooby-Doo Drinking Game Rules and Gameplay

If you have never played a drinking game before, rest assured that they are all pretty simple. In the case of movie-inspired games like the Scooby-Doo drinking game, all you need to do is watch the show and look out for the following “signs.”

Grab your drink and have a sip whenever you hear:

  • Shaggy says: “Zoinks!”
  • Velma says: “Jinkies!”
  • Daphne says: “Jeepers!”
  • Scooby says: “Rikes!”
  • Scooby says: “Ruh-roh!”
  • Someone says: “A-ha!”
  • Daphne screams.

Also, drink when:

  • Velma loses her glasses.
  • Fred suggests the gang should split up.
  • A monster appears unexpectedly.
  • Someone finds a clue.
  • Mystery Machine has a problem.

Have a double drink when you notice that:

  • Scooby says: “Scooby-Dooby-Doo!”
  • Scooby laughs (it’s a typical laughter you cannot miss)

Everyone finishes their drinks when:

  • The team reveals the villain and solves the mystery.

Bonus challenge:

  • Each player is assigned the name of one of the characters (more players can have the same character if you play in a larger group). When you hear the name of “your” character, have a drink. OR, drink whenever “your” character does/says something specific.

There are, undoubtedly, many other alternative rules you can apply to make this game more enjoyable for you and your friends. You can also create custom rules based on the specific series/film about Scooby-Doo you watch for the game.

Additional Tips

When you’re enjoying a great drinking game with your friends, it’s sometimes easy to forget about moderation. These few simple rules should ensure you will only have good memories of the evening:

  • Only play drinking games with people you know and trust and in a safe and secure environment.
  • Arrange in advance how you’re going to get home when the game ends or whether you can stay in the place where you’re playing overnight.
  • Eat well before the game starts and have some snacks in between the drinks, too. It will help your organism cope better with the alcohol.
  • If you feel you’ve had enough alcohol for the night, slow down or replace alcohol with a non-alcoholic drink. Support other players in such a decision, too.
  • Agree on the type of alcohol with your friends in advance. If some of you don’t tolerate strong spirits, have a beer, wine, or mixed drinks instead of shots.

To wrap it up, don’t forget that the Scooby-Doo drinking game should be, first and foremost, fun for everyone. The better you’ll feel the day after, the higher the chance you’ll repeat the experience at your next get-together.

Who Wins?

From my experience, people usually prefer playing movie-inspired drinking games non-competitively. Just relax, follow the rules, and have a good laugh while watching your favorite characters on the screen. You will all win; your prize is a memorable night with your pals.

Alternatively, of course, you can measure your performance by awarding positive and negative points.

You can, for example, divide the rules among the players and appoint a judge who records negative points each time a player forgets to drink when they should or drinks when they should not.

Award one good point for every proper reaction and a +1 bonus point to the fastest-reacting player when the rule requires everyone to drink simultaneously.

When the show ends, count the points and celebrate with the winner. If you still have some energy (and drinks) left, you can try another great drinking game inspired by a TV show. How about playing the Family Guy drinking game or the House of the Dragon drinking game next?

All ninjas, Naruto Uzumaki, need your support! You can leave your katanas at home, though. You only need your glass and a good mood this time, for we will play the Naruto drinking game.

If you’re, like me, a big fan of Naruto’s epic adventures, you certainly don’t want to miss the opportunity to enjoy the show with your friends in the form of a wild drinking game.

It’s very simple. If you’re already familiar with some other TV-inspired drinking games, such as the High School Musical drinking game or the Tiger King drinking game, you already know the rules.

But let’s start with a brief summary of what you need to play the game.

What You’ll Need to Play Naruto Drinking Game?

There’s only a little you need to play this game, making it a universal choice for any occasion. Just ensure you have:

  • The Naruto show on any type of media
  • Television or projector to watch the show on
  • Alcoholic beverages (wine, shots, beer cans – whatever you prefer)
  • A few friends willing to join the game
  • Some comfortable place to watch the show and play the game

Why Naruto?

I’ve been a huge Naruto fan for as long as I can remember. As I grew up, people I knew were often surprised to hear that I still watch the show, laughing me off as a big child or a weirdo.

Nevertheless, I was happy to come across a colleague who’s probably even more Naruto-positive than myself. Together, we’ve persuaded a couple of our common friends to try something new on our next get-together, and there it was – our new Naruto drinking game night tradition, which has been going on for more than a year to date.

How did we persuade people who have never even seen the show before to become our long-term Naruto drinking game pals? We didn’t have to – the show convinced them alone.

The intense battles, Naruto’s stubborn perseverance, and even the comic details of the lives of the Hidden Leaf’s residents contribute to the magical, immersive experience that is even multiplied when enjoyed as a part of a drinking game.

But one experience is more than a thousand words, so let’s finally see how this game is played.

Setup

Before you start playing the Naruto drinking game:

  • Prepare the show
  • Wait for all the players to find their comfortable places
  • Prepare all the drinks someplace where everyone can reach them
  • Press play, and let the game begin!

How to Play Naruto Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

How to Play Naruto Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

Playing drinking games based on TV shows is no rocket science. All that’s required from you is to watch your favorite characters and keep an eye (and an ear) out for special triggering phrases, sights, and situations that indicate you should grab a drink.

Take a sip of your drink whenever you hear some of the following:

  • Naruto says: “Believe it” (this is his typical catchphrase)
  • Sasuke talks about revenge.
  • Naruto expresses his desire to become Hokage (the strongest shinobi in the village).
  • Someone gasps.
  • Someone mentions nindo (the path of samurai).

Also, drink whenever you encounter some of the following:

  • There is a flashback scene.
  • A ramen appears or is mentioned.
  • Someone makes a jutsu (hand sign).
  • Kakashi reads the Icha Icha Paradise book (his favorite).
  • Someone gets emotional.
  • Ino and Sakura have a dispute.
  • Someone throws a kunai knife.

Sip twice when you notice that:

  • Sasuke uses his Chidori (his powerful jutsu).
  • Naruto uses his Rasengan (his signature jutsu).
  • Someone dies.
  • Someone’s eye color changes.

Everyone finishes their drinks when:

  • The battle ends.

If you’re already familiar with the story and characters, you can come up with your own rules, too. This game is very easy to adapt and customize.

Additional Tips

As with any drinking game, a responsible attitude towards drinking is key to enjoying the Naruto game without any unpleasant consequences.

Here are a few tips you should consider to make the game safer and healthier for everyone involved:

  • Agree on the type of alcohol that suits all the players.
  • Agree on the size of glasses or standard amount of one drink (i.e., is it one sip or one shot?)
  • Prepare some non-alcoholic beverages, too, to stay hydrated.
  • Prepare some snacks, and never play a drinking game on an empty stomach.
  • Don’t continue drinking when you feel you’ve had enough.
  • Don’t force or persuade anyone else to play if they express they’ve had enough.
  • Don’t drive after playing a drinking game.
  • Only play with the people you know and trust.
  • Ideally, play the game somewhere you can all stay for the night (a chalet, house of one of the players, etc.)

If you avoid awkward situations caused by excessive drinking and the massive hangover the day after, there’s a good chance you will play the game again and again.

Who Wins?

The Naruto drinking game is usually not played competitively. You simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience with your friends without bothering about comparisons or challenges.

Nevertheless, there’s nothing wrong with switching things up from time to time. If you feel like competing, create a simple scoring system:

  • Each player is assigned a bundle of rules they should follow only.
  • Whenever a player correctly reacts to some of the triggering situations, they earn +1 point.
  • Whenever they forget to drink when they should or drink when they should not, they lose -1 point.

The person who has the highest score wins the game in the end.Of course, you could try many other competitive drinking games if that’s what interests you. How about learning to play the Slap Cup or the Beer Pong next?

Can’t agree with your friends whether to play games or watch movies in the evening? Why not combine the two? In this guide, you’ll learn how to play the awesome Deadpool drinking game.

Deadpool is one of the films I can watch over and over again. I just love its unapologetic sense of humor and the way it makes fun of the entire superhero genre while also paying tribute to it at the same time.

Nevertheless, ever since I’ve tried the Deadpool drinking game, I cannot imagine watching the film without it. This game seriously doubles the fun!

Never played any movie drinking games? Don’t worry, it’s super easy. And once you learn one of them, you know how to play all, including my favorite ones like the Office drinking game.

But first things first. Let’s start with the Deadpool drinking game preparation.

What You’ll Need to Play Deadpool Drinking Game?

All you need to play the Deadpool drinking game is:

  • The Deadpool movie (on TV or a DVD, VOD, etc.)
  • A television, projector, or any other device with a nice large screen
  • Alcoholic beverages of your choice (or a variety for everyone’s taste)
  • Other competitors (at least one, but there’s no upper limit)
  • A comfortable place where you all can sit and play

1. Why Deadpool?

If you want to play a drinking game inspired by a movie or a TV show, you surely have dozens of options.

Many people probably automatically pick the film they like the most. For me, though, it also has to have some “inner logic “– a meaning behind why this film should work well as a drinking game.

With Deadpool, it is pretty easy since its main character, Wade Wilson, a.k.a. Deadpool, is probably the first person to agree to play such a game himself (he’s reportedly a big fan of tequila).

However, he would definitely beat us all in a drinking game since, due to his superpower the accelerated healing factor, he is basically immune to most drugs, toxins, and alcohol. The poor guy cannot get wasted no matter how hard he tries!

This alone gives the drinking game based on the film a completely new meaning. As I see it, all the contestants are practically attempting to become superheroes by activating their accelerated healing factor.

If any of you do not complain of a massive headache in the morning, it’s quite possible they’re the Deadpool himself!

Now, let’s not waste more time and start preparing the game.

2. Setup

Follow these simple preparatory steps:

  • Get the Deadpool movie ready If it’s streaming live on a TV, make sure you start with the preparation well in advance so that everything is ready when it starts.
  • Make Sure that all Players have Comfortable Spots to see the screen clearly and hear the sound well.
  • Prepare the Alcoholic Drinks and place them on a stable, flat surface within the players’ reach. From my experience, a long TV table on sturdy castor wheels works the best.
  • Press Play And let the fun begin!

How to Play Deadpool Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

How to Play Deadpool Drinking Game Rules and Gameplay

Drinking games are pretty straightforward and don’t require particular skills or experience.

The most important asset is good focus and memory since you will watch out for certain situations, phrases, or sights in the movie (let’s call them triggers) and act accordingly.

Without further ado, here are the rules:

Drink when you hear or see any of the following:

  • Deadpool makes a sarcastic comment.
  • There is a reference or cameo related to X-Men.
  • Deadpool says: “Chimichanga”
  • Deadpool says: “Maximum Effort.”
  • Someone swears.
  • Someone says: “Francis”.
  • Deadpool changes costume.
  • Someone says: “Hero!”
  • Someone says: “Wade Wilson.”
  • Someone says: Pool.”

Have a Double Drink if:

  • Deadpool breaks the fourth wall.
  • A slow-motion shot appears.
  • The film acknowledged its own existence.
  • Someone or something explodes.

Of course, if you or your friends are familiar with the movie and have your own catchphrases or favorite moments, feel free to adjust or expand these rules.

Additional Tips

If you want to ensure that all the players enjoy the game equally, don’t forget about some reasonable moderation regarding your alcohol consumption.

Allow the players to choose their favorite drinks in the amounts they consider suitable, even if it means that some of you will drink shots, whereas others will just sip wine.

How to avoid a hangover after playing a drinking game like this? Unless you have Deadpool’s magic abilities, you will probably need some rest the day after.

Still, eating well before the game and snacking in between the drinks can certainly help. You can also switch to a non-alcoholic beverage when you feel you’ve had enough for the evening. The game is still perfectly enjoyable when you play it with the right people.

Who Wins?

Whether you decide to play the Deadpool drinking game competitively or just for fun, it’s up to you. If you want to compete, simply assign:

  • +1 point for every good reaction to the trigger
  • – 1 point for every lousy reaction (player forgets to react or reacts when shouldn’t)
  • +2 points to the player with the fastest reaction.

When the film ends, count the total scores and celebrate the victory of one of you with another drink.

If you don’t want to bother with writing down the scores while enjoying the film, you can also come up with some alternative awards or penalties.

The fastest player can have the best snack on the table, whereas the player who does not follow the rules must do five push-ups or wash the glasses when the game ends.If you enjoy playing drinking games, I have some other tips for you, too. How about trying the DIY Drinko Plinko game or the Slap Cup game?

Whether you consider yourself a fan of the Survivor show or not, trying out the Survivor drinking game is an experience you won’t regret. Let’s learn how it’s played.

At its peak, the Survivor show attracted an average of 51.7 million viewers per episode. How many of them enjoyed the show with a drink in their hands? Of course, we’ll never know.

But what I know for certain is that if I ended up on a deserted island like this show’s contestants, I would definitely crave a good drinking game, such as the Survivor drinking game, which takes watching this reality show to another level.

If you’re already familiar with some other party games inspired by TV shows (like the Office drinking game or The Family Guy drinking game), you will learn how to play this game in a minute.

What You’ll Need to Play Survivor Drinking Game?

All you need to play this game is:

  • The Survivor TV show
  • A device to watch it
  • Alcoholic drinks you prefer (beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, etc.)
  • At least one friend to join you (the more, the better!)
  • A comfy place to sit and watch the show

1. Why Survivor?

When I first suggested to my friends that we could try the Survivor drinking game on our next game night, one of them immediately said: “Right, because being drunk is the only way I’d ever watch that!” Nevertheless, this mate enjoyed the show the most, even before he got any wasted.

Survivor, the iconic CBS reality show running continuously since 2000, is effortlessly entertaining (my personal favorite is the 28th “Cagayan” season), and if you add your preferred drinks and companions, you certainly cannot go wrong with it.

But another reason why I think this show works great when turned into a drinking game is that this way, you basically become a part of it since drinking plays its role in the competition, too:

  • The competitors are occasionally rewarded with prizes that may include alcohol, just like you are rewarded with alcohol in the Survivor drinking game when you catch the triggering phrase or situation.
  • Some of the show’s most memorable scenes started with alcohol consumption, whether we’re talking about arguments, romance, controversies, or plot twists. These will be much more relatable if you have had a few drinks, too.
  • Losing control after drinking has cost some of the contestants their chance of winning. Will you do better in the Survivor drinking game?

All in all, turning the TV contest into a real competition you enjoy at home with your friends is a new experience, even for those familiar with the movie drinking games in general. Without further ado, let’s finally get to the rules of this game.

2. Setup

First, prepare all you need to play the game:

  • Get the Survivor TV show ready.
  • Wait for all the players to find a comfortable spot in front of the screen.
  • Prepare the drinks and place them somewhere where everyone can reach them.

When you’re ready, just press play and start watching the show.

How to Play Survivor Drinking Game: Rules and Gameplay

How to Play Survivor Drinking Game: Rules and Gameplay

Like most drinking games, Survivor has straightforward rules you can easily understand even without any previous experience.

While watching the Survivor show, simply keep an eye out for the following sights, situations, or phrases: You know it’s time to grab your drink when you notice any of them.

Drink when you hear any competitor or the narrator say some of the following:

  • “Survivor”
  • “Immunity”
  • “The Game”
  • “Once-in-a-lifetime experience”
  • “Alliance”

Also, drink when someone:

  • Complains about someone else
  • Betrays someone
  • Starts crying
  • Forms a new bond
  • Contemplates resigning
  • Finds an Immunity idol
  • Argue with someone
  • Wins a challenge

Have a double drink if:

  • A blurred private part of a contestant is shown
  • Medical assistance is called
  • Someone shares a sob story of their life
  • Someone is eliminated through the Blindside

Obviously, you can add any custom rules to the game, especially if you’re already familiar with the show and, thus, know what to expect.

Also, you can make the game more intricate if you and your friends divide the competitors, only drinking when “your” character says or does something of the above.

When players forget to drink when they’re supposed to (or drink when they are not), you can penalize them with “bad points” or funny tasks like singing, squatting, wearing a silly hat, etc.

Additional Tips

Playing a drinking game with your friends can help you make many good memories. But to ensure that it’s an equally pleasant experience for all of you, consider the following precautions and tips:

  • The game’s rules do not define the type, volume, or amount of alcohol you should drink while playing it. Consider your level of tolerance to avoid excessive drinking and nasty hangovers.
  • You can always replace an alcoholic drink with a non-alcoholic beverage to continue playing when you’ve had enough for the evening.
  • Don’t drink on an empty stomach. Have some snacks on the table, too, to help your organism cope with the alcohol better.
  • If you or your co-players feel like you don’t want to drink anymore, respect it.
  • Avoid driving after playing a drinking game. Arrange your ride home in advance, or play the game only in the place where you can stay for the night.

Who Wins?

If you’re playing the Survivor drinking game in competitive mode, award penalty points whenever someone does not follow the rules or collect good points for being the first one to grab your glass when it’s time for drinking.

To determine the winner when the show stops, just count the good/bad points and see who has the highest total score.

Of course, you don’t have to compete at all. Enjoy the Survivor drinking game as a fun experience, and consider everyone who makes it to the closing credits a winner. If you like this game, you can also try the Bring it On drinking game or the Twilight drinking game next for a similarly entertaining experience.

A good ‘zomedy’ is one of the best foundations for a movie-inspired drinking game. This guide will teach you how to play one of my favorites: the Zombieland drinking game.

I don’t remember how many times I’ve seen Zombieland, but I am pretty sure that I’ve had some drink in hand each and every time. This type of wild comedy mixed with horror elements simply works best when combined with a glass of wine or two.

But last year, when I was planning out a Halloween party for my friends, I realized this movie could be turned into a fabulous movie drinking game, too. (By the way, here are some other good tips for Halloween drinking games).

Of course, I soon found out that I wasn’t the first to come up with this idea – there are many guides on playing the Zombieland drinking game online, and some are really good.

Nevertheless, I am proud to tell you that the rules below are probably the best you can find, as they’ve been meticulously tested and proven by me and my friends.

What You’ll Need to Play Zombieland Drinking Game?

If you want to play the Zombieland drinking game, make sure you have the following:

  • Zombieland movie in any form (DVD, VOD, online streaming, TV, etc.)
  • A device to play the movie
  • Alcoholic beverages of your choice (beer, wine, spirits, mixed drinks, etc.)
  • A couple of friends to join you
  • A comfortable place to sit

1. Why Zombieland?

When I started discovering all the movie-inspired drinking games out there, I was amazed at the great variety of genres they comprised.

I was particularly surprised to see how many drinking games involved films that were originally intended for children! (Like the Harry Potter drinking game, for example).

On the other hand, creating a drinking game around films like Zombieland sounds completely logical to me. This savage black comedy makes us imagine that our world has been taken over by bloodthirsty zombies, which in itself is a pretty good reason to have a drink, isn’t it?

Here are a few other reasons why I personally think Zombieland as a drinking game works so well:

  • The movie is genuinely hilarious, with tons of crazy jokes that sound even better after a couple of drinks. Good laughter is guaranteed.
  • Alcohol also appears in the movie (Tallahassee, the character played by Woody Harrelson, is quite fond of whiskey), so drinking along the film almost feels like you’re a part of it.
  • The film is full of catchy phrases and unforgettable moments that work great as drinking triggers.
  • If you don’t have enough when the movie ends, you can continue playing while watching its sequel, Zombieland 2!

Moreover, the game is straightforward and does not require any special preparations. Let’s move on to the instructions, and you’ll see for yourself.

2. Setup

Before you start playing, make sure to:

  • Get the movie ready
  • Allow each player to sit where they can comfortably see and hear what’s happening in the movie.
  • Grab the drinks and place them on a surface where everyone can reach them. Preparing some snacks and non-alcoholic beverages is certainly a good idea, too.

When you’re ready, press play and start watching the movie.

How to Play Zombieland Drinking Game: Rules and Gameplay

How to Play Zombieland Drinking Game: Rules and Gameplay

The rules of this game are pretty simple. All you have to do is watch out for any of the triggering phrases, sights, or situations below, and then have a drink (or a sip of a drink) of your choice.

Have a drink whenever:

  • Columbus mentions a new rule for surviving the apocalypse
  • A Zombie is killed (prepare for lots of drinking with this one)
  • A jump scare occurs
  • A character reveals their real name (they’re called after their hometowns)
  • Someone drinks in the movie
  • Someone says: “Twinkie.”
  • Someone drops the f*** bomb (beware, I’ve counted 28 of them)

If you want to make the game even wilder, you can add the optional ‘waterfall’ rule: When it’s triggered, everyone starts drinking and cannot stop until the player to their right stops first.

Here are a few situations that can trigger ‘waterfall’:

  • Someone earns the title “Zombie Kill of the Week.”
  • A random celebrity appears in a cameo role
  • Someone says: “Nut up or shut up!”

Alternatively, each of the abovementioned triggers can apply only to one of the players. If they forget about it (and someone else notices their mistake), they must have a double drink as a penalty.

Additional Tips

Playing movie drinking games is one of the funniest ways of enjoying a drink with your friends. Nevertheless, I’ve noticed that it’s pretty easy to forget about the basic rules of moderation while you’re immersed in the film.

So, if you want to have good memories of this experience, take the following advice into account:

  • When it comes to alcohol, we all have different tastes and tolerance. Don’t force every player to drink the same type and amount of alcohol. If someone enjoys a sip of wine just as much as you enjoy a shot of spirit, it’s okay!
  • Eat well before you start playing, and have some snacks at hand during the game, too. Your body will cope with the alcohol much better this way.
  • Don’t play drinking games (including Zombieland) with anyone you don’t feel comfortable around. This is a game for good friends who can rely on each other.
  • If anyone feels like they don’t want to continue drinking, don’t force them. They can continue playing with a non-alcoholic drink – or just watch the movie normally.
  • Make sure you know how you’ll get home safely after the game. Or, even better, play the game somewhere you can all stay for the night.

Who Wins?

The original version of this game does count the winners and losers among all. We could probably say that everyone who can stand straight when the film ends can be considered a winner.

However, if you’d like to make the Zombieland drinking game competitive, there are a few ways to adapt it.

You can, for example, award penalty points whenever someone forgets about drinking when they’re supposed to. Or award good points to the player who grabs their drink first when the trigger appears.

Whoever has the most good points (or the least bad points) when the film ends becomes the winner. Of course, alternatively, you can opt for some other drinking games that are naturally competitive, such as Beer Pong, Ride the Bus, or King’s Cup.

Ratatouille may, thanks to its culinary theme, appeal mainly to gourmets. But if you’re more into good drinks, you’ll surely enjoy it too with the Ratatouille Drinking Game. Today, you’ll learn how it’s played in a few simple steps.

Ratatouille is a heartwarming animated film by Pixar, effectively convincing us that even rodents can have their place in the kitchen (in some circumstances).

At the same time, it’s also a foundation for a cool drinking game that will certainly turn your movie night into a wild party.

After all, it’s not the only family-friendly movie you can enjoy with a drink in your hand. If you like to tease your inner child, you should certainly try the Harry Potter drinking game or the Shrek drinking game, too.

So, what do you need to play the Ratatouille drinking game? Read on for the complete instructions.

What You’ll Need to Play Ratatouille Drinking Game?

To play this amusing drinking game, all you need is:

  • The Ratatouille film on any media type (DVD, VOD, stream, etc.)
  • TV, computer, projector, tablet, or phone to play the film
  • Alcoholic drinks of your choice (beer, glasses of wine, shots, etc.)
  • A friend (or a few of them) who accepts the challenge
  • A couch, sofa, or any other comfy place to sit while watching

1. Why Ratatouille?

Does playing a drinking game while watching an animated film for kids sound odd? It surprised me too at first, so I started looking into possible reasons behind this strange connection.

What I found does not have to do so much with the film itself – it’s more about its viewers and the deep sentiments they tend to have toward this film.

Ratatouille, directed by Brad Bird, was first released in 2007, and it was a huge hit, winning the Oscar, the Golden Globe, and the BAFTA awards for the best animated film of the year.

As a G-rated film, it was suitable for children of all ages. Still, I believe you’d have to be at least 7 or 8 years old to fully understand and appreciate the storyline.

That means that the kids who grew up with this movie are now 22 – 23 years old, which makes them just old enough to enjoy a good drinking game legally.

Yes, nostalgia is a magical thing, and while you and your friends may not always agree on the best contemporary music hit or the top show on Netflix, you certainly won’t argue over the beloved animated movie from your childhood years.

2. A Game you can All Agree On

To wrap it up, the Ratatouille drinking game is your best choice when you’re throwing a party for your Gen-Z friends because most of you already know this film and have a fond memory of watching it as kids.

Nevertheless, it’s undoubtedly a good idea to propose the game to older folks, too, since the game is probably even better if you’ve never seen the film before and have no idea what to expect.

So, without further ado, let’s learn how to play this exciting game.

3. Setup

Preparation for the Ratatouille drinking game couldn’t be easier:

  • Prepare the show and the device you’re planning to play it on.
  • Let everyone sit comfortably in a place where they can see and hear the movie.
  • Prepare your drinks of choice and put them somewhere at hand where all players can easily reach them.

When you’re all ready, start the movie and watch it.

How to Play Ratatouille Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

Ratatouille Drinking Game

Have you ever played some movie drinking games? If yes, you’re already familiar with the basic principles of the Ratatouille drinking game since it’s no different.

Players watch the movie, paying attention to the specific set of phrases, sights, and situations indicating that they should have a drink.

While the exact list of these triggers is perfectly customizable (feel free to add or remove any points you want), here are some of the most popular ideas:

If you hear some of the following, grab your drink:

  • Someone speaks French
  • Someone screams, “Rat!”
  • Someone says, “I cannot believe it!”
  • Someone says, “Anyone can cook!”

Also, have a drink when you notice some of the following situations:

  • Someone makes a chef’s kiss gesture
  • Remy’s brother snacks something
  • Flashbacks to Remy’s past/childhood
  • Remy sniffs something good

If you want to step up the game, have TWO drinks when some of the following happens:

  • A food critic arrives
  • Someone almost steps on Remy
  • The Gusteau ghost appears

Additional Tips

As you’ve seen above, there are plenty of opportunities to have a drink during this game, but the main goal is to enjoy the whole experience at your own pace and style. If you feel the game proceeds too fast, leave some of the suggested triggers out.

Alternatively, you can also agree to have only one sip of your drink instead of a whole shot/glass/can. Or, of course, use non-alcoholic beverages if that’s what you prefer.

If some of your teammates suggest they should slow down, don’t push them to continue at the current pace. The game should create fond bonding memories for all of you, which is impossible without a major hangover.

Last but not least, make sure that no one has to drive on their way home from the party. If you follow all the above-mentioned rules, you won’t be able to drive your car safely after this game.

Who Wins?

If you’re playing a game, there are usually winners and losers. Nevertheless, in the warmhearted Ratatouille drinking game, everyone wins an incredible experience full of laughter and surprises.

If you still want to make this game somewhat competitive, try awarding penalty points to the players who reach out for their drinks as the last ones when the triggering phrase or situation appears. Whoever has the least games when the film ends wins the game.Of course, you can also choose to try some more dynamic games like the Battle Shots or the Beer Pong.

The Tipsy Tower Drinking Game is the perfect way to keep your friends and family on their toes, using careful strategies and showing off their skills to keep the tower standing.

Have you ever played Jenga? If so, you can pick up the rules of this quickly because it’s practically the same game, with the addition of alcohol.

So, if you’re ready to start stacking and sipping, keep reading and learn the rules and how to play Tipsy Tower.

Let’s take a tumble.

What You’ll Need to Play Tipsy Tower?

Before you begin, you’ll need to get your hands on either a standard Jenga set or a specially designed Tipsy Tower game set, which is the better option for this particular game as it adds to the theme.

Plus, buying the set saves you the hassle of writing on your old classic Jenga set.

Although Tipsy Tower follows the same premise as Jenga, the difference is the words written on the blocks, which either give you actions or instructions to perform following the removal of the pieces.

On Sale Tipsy Tower Ultimate Party Game

Of course, you’ll need to get the drinks in to play Tipsy Tower. It’s best to have a good selection if you’re hosting, so there’s something for everyone.

Lastly, you’ll need a group of friends; otherwise, it won’t be much of a party game, will it?

Okay, now that you’ve got everything you need, let’s review the rules and gameplay.

How to Play Tipsy Tower? Rules and Gameplay

How to Play Tipsy Tower Rules and Gameplay

I’m pretty sure you’re already familiar with the concept of Jenga; after all, it’s been around since the 1970s.

Tipsy Tower follows that exact same notion, removing blocks from the tower while trying to avoid it toppling over.

However, unlike the traditional version, each block you remove from the tower will have written on it some form of instruction or action to perform, such as sipping your drink, giving someone a nickname, or playing a Never Have I Ever challenge. You know the one when someone says, “I’ve never joined the mile high club,” and everyone who has must take a drink?

So, there isn’t much strategy involved in Tipsy Tower; however, you need to have a steady hand because when the tower topples, you lose!

If you’re unfortunate enough to be the one who makes the tumble, be prepared for a challenge; you could be made to finish your drink or do something of your friend’s choice. I’ll leave that one down to you to get creative with.

At the end of the day, this game isn’t really about winning or losing because when that tower comes crashing down, it only makes everyone howl with laughter, and you can rebuild and go again; that’s what I love the most about it.

And, if you get bored of playing the Tipsy Tower version, dig out your old Jenga set and write some more personalized challenges on the blocks to make the game even more relatable to you and your friends and family.

Safety Tips When Playing Drinking Games

This section doesn’t just cover how to play Tipsy Tower safely; it relates to all drinking games and how you can enjoy them responsibly. I know; you’re probably yawning already. But, to keep the merriment flowing and ensure the safety of you and your drinking buddies, the following steps are crucial, so stick with me.

  • Go Steady: Take it slow, and always drink responsibly. Know your limits, and avoid excessive drinking, ensure that you stop anytime you feel like you’ve had too much.
  • Stay Hydrated: Remember to drink water between your drinks to prevent dehydration.
  • Eat Something: Make sure you fill up on a good meal before the drinking commences and have snacks available for everyone throughout the night.
  • Smaller Measures: Opt for smaller cups or glasses to control everyone’s alcohol intake. It’s easier to keep track of how much you’re drinking this way.
  • Be Mindful: Keep an eye on your friends and ensure nobody is getting carried away or made to feel uncomfortable.
  • Plan Your Journey Home: Make sure someone remains sober to provide a safe ride home or pre-book a cab beforehand.
  • Take Breaks: Don’t feel pressured to drink continuously. It’s okay to take breaks or opt out of a round if necessary.

The Collapse

So, whether you’ve got a steady hand or not, Tipsy Tower is a game for anyone, or at least anyone, of legal drinking age.

You’re going to have a wail of a time playing this game. It’s a recipe for laughter and a brilliant way to bond with your friends and family over something a little different from your standard drinking games like Beer Pong, for example. Remember to look out for your fellow drinkers, and don’t overdo it. Stop when you know you’ve had enough, and stay hydrated. I always advise getting some snacks for people to eat while drinking. Pizza is a good shout because then you can play the pizza box drinking game afterward. If you’ve got the stamina and everyone is still in a respectable state.

Do you enjoy having a drink while watching your favorite show? How about turning it into a game? Today, you’ll learn how to play the House of the Dragon drinking game.

When House of the Dragon premiered in 2022, an average of 29 million U.S. viewers sat down in front of their TV screens for each new episode. Were you one of them, or are you watching it for the first time now, at your own pace?

In any case, I am here to tell you that this terrific show can be even better if you turn it into a competition.

It’s easier than you’d probably think! Just like in any of the movie drinking games (my personal favorite these days is the never-ending Titanic drinking game), you simply enjoy the action and watch out for the prescribed signs to take a sip (or empty a cup).

What You’ll Need to Play House of the Dragon Drinking Game?

To play this fun game, all you need is:

  • House of the Dragon series (or at least one episode) on any type of media
  • A device to play the show (if you’re outside, it can even be your phone)
  • Alcoholic drinks of your choice (beer cans, glasses of wine, shots, etc.)
  • At least one friend who is up to the challenge
  • A comfortable place to sit and watch the show

Why House of the Dragon?

Whenever I hear about some new drinking game inspired by a movie or a TV show, I am curious why and how this particular game was invented.

In the case of House of the Dragon, though, it’s pretty logical. First of all, the show is full of characters with a warm relationship to alcohol:

  • Daemon: Played by Matt Smith, is a well-known hedonist who is often seen with a goblet in his hand.
  • Rhaenyra: (Milly Alcock, Emma D’Arcy) gets famously drunk in one of the key scenes of the show, secretly sneaking into the peasants’ pub pretending to be a boy.
  • Viserys: (Paddy Considine), the king who gradually succumbs to a terrible infection, even drinks a ‘milk of poppy’ to overcome pain and stress, and so on.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty confident that each of the 8 episodes contains at least some tiny glimpse of or a reference to drinking and alcohol.

Great Shows Make Great Games

The frequent appearance of alcohol onscreen in the show is, however, certainly not the only reason behind the invention of the House of the Dragon drinking game.

In my opinion, it’s only logical for a game like this to emerge when some movie or TV show gains so much popularity as the GOT prequel did. We’ve already witnessed the same happening with the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Jurassic Park, and many other iconic titles.

Moreover, the House of the Dragon has a substantial binge-watching potential, making it ideal for long hours of playing. Now, let’s move on to the game itself.

Setup

Preparation for this game is straightforward:

  • Get the show ready
  • Ensure every player sees the screen well and hears the sound clearly.
  • Place the drinks somewhere where everyone can reach them easily

When you’re ready, press play and start watching.

How to Play House of the Dragon Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

How to Play House of the Dragon Drinking Game? Rules and Gameplay

If you’re already familiar with some other movie-inspired drinking game, the rules of this one won’t surprise you. The trick is to focus and wait for a specific phrase, situation, or sight that means you must have a drink.

First, here’s the list of the triggering sights to watch out for:

  • A dragon appears on the screen
  • A romance/intimacy occurs
  • A royalty (king or queen) makes an official statement or issues a decree
  • There’s a scene of sibling rivalry
  • A new character is introduced to the show

These special sights mean you must have a double drink:

  • Someone rides a dragon
  • Someone dies
  • There’s a battle involving dragons
  • A dragon egg hatches
  • A dragon breaths fire

Here are the phrases or quotes that trigger drinking:

  • Someone says, “Dragon.”
  • Someone says, “King/Queen.”
  • Daemon says, “Rhaenyra”
  • Someone says, “House Targaryen.”
  • Someone says,” Seven Kingdoms.”
  • Someone mentioned “Westeros.”

Of course, if it’s not your first time to watch the show, you can add some of your favorite moments or quotes to this list or replace/leave out some you don’t like.

Additional Tips

As with any drinking game, you should proceed thoughtfully and responsibly during the House of the Dragon game to ensure that it remains harmless fun for all the participants. Here are a few simple suggestions that can improve the experience:

  • If you are not used to large amounts of alcohol, apply only a few of the recommended rules to avoid getting too drunk too fast.
  • Instead of having a whole drink, you can simply sip from your glass. It definitely counts if you agree on this upfront with the other players!
  • Don’t force or persuade anyone to continue drinking if their instincts (or stomach) tell them to stop. This game should be enjoyable and safe.
  • Plan the game ahead for a day when you don’t have any more duties or plans. Also, make sure you won’t have to drive anywhere after the game.
  • Keep various snacks and beverages at hand to balance the alcohol in your organism.
  • Don’t play this game with strangers or at places you don’t know and feel safe at.

Who Wins?

In the movie/TV show-inspired drinking games, there are no winners or losers. The only prize you are all collectively after is enjoying the night together to the maximum while watching a great show.

Nevertheless, if you’d really like to make the game a bit competitive, you can penalize players whenever they forget to drink when they’re supposed to (or the other way around) by ordering them to squat, run, sing, etc. Alternatively, why not try out dynamic challenges like the Beer Pong or the King’s Cup?
