Danseur dit à l'écharpe Royaume de Champa (Vietnam), Musée Georges Labit Toulouse |
- Their mistake. We shouldn't promulgate it. The scarf dance is a big thing in Vietnam. Can you change it. Charlesjsharp (talk) 11:20, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Oppose Misleading title. Charlesjsharp (talk) 14:05, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Comment We do not discuss the title of the titles of the works which are given by the museums --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 16:21, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Support I think Archaeodontosaurus has a point. The title of the museum is leading.--Famberhorst (talk) 06:27, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Comment The English title in the image page "Dancer called with a scarf" is strange. Could you please clarify whether this English title is displayed in the museum? If not, better translations are "Dancer with a scarf" or "Scarf dancer". (Disclaimer: I do not know French, I've consulted DeepL.com and my wife who is fluent in English and French.) --Tagooty (talk) 05:05, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- @Tagooty: Hi. The title in French contains a Gallicism. The title not having been given by the author, it was the museum curator who named it: the dancer with the scarf; but to mark that he is the author of this title he added said to the scarf. For me, I try not to take the liberty of interpreting museum data. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:24, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Support Thanks for the clarification. Best in scope and useful. --Tagooty (talk) 06:57, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sign of the art of the Giupponeri (men's tailor) - Correr Museum |
- I cannot understand Google's translation. Says tailors, but the drawing does not appear to be about clothes. Charlesjsharp (talk) 14:09, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

- I'm not questioning the tile, but a translation into English (or French) would make the image valuable. I have no idea what the image represents. Charlesjsharp (talk) 12:26, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Done Ok I didn't understand... --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 16:08, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Comment When I click on the scope, I don't see the photo. Shouldn't the scope be Collection of painted signs from the Correr Museum? Then I'll see the photo.--Famberhorst (talk) 17:48, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Scope:
Quercus robur Pferdekopfeiche, protected landscape Ivenacker Eichen |
Used in:
de:Ivenack • wikidata:Pferdekopfeiche • commons:Ivenack |
Reason:
The giant oak "Pferdekopfeiche" (Horse-head oak) in the German nature reserve "Ivenacker Eichen" is about 700 years old, has a circumference of almost 9 meters, and is 23 meters high. It is the third-strongest oak in the reserve, and only a third of its crown is still alive. I think the current condition of the diseased but still living tree is well represented in this picture. -- Radomianin (talk) |
